WGA was founded as Frederick & Warinner, a partnership, on July 25, 1988 in Overland Park, Kansas. The founding partners, Clint Frederick and Bill Warinner, were previously with Troupe Kehoe Whiteaker and Kent (TKWK), a local CPA firm, and Drees Dunn & Company, a utility consulting firm.
The Firm became a limited liability company on January 1, 1995, and changed its name to Frederick & Warinner, L.L.C.(F&W).
In 1996 upon retirement as a partner from Ernst & Young LLP, Richard Gesinger joined the Firm as a Principal. In 1998, Clint Frederick retired from the firm, and the firm changed its name to Warinner, Gesinger & Associates, LLC on April 1, 1999.
WGA has been a member of the Division of Firms of the AICPA since its inception in 1988 and is currently licensed to practice in Alaska, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Minnesota, New York, Oklahoma,Texas, Utah, Vermont and Washington, DC. The Firm also belongs to OPASTCO, USTA, NTCA, and many state telecommunications associations. The Firm advertises its specialty of being formed specifically to meet the needs of the telecommunications industry in various telecommunications trade publications.
F&W also formed TeleInfoSystems, Inc. in late 1988 to market its software, Revenue Management Systems (RMS). TeleInfoSystems, Inc. obtained a copyright for RMS in October 1988 and in November 1988 obtained the publishing rights to Edward D. Jones' publication Financial & Common Stock Information-Telephone Industry. Bill Warinner is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TeleInfoSystems, Inc.
