Mr. Hudson joined the firm in June 1998 as Manager of Tax Services. With over 25 years of public accounting experience, Mr. Hudson assists with, and oversees the tax compliance department of WGA. Those responsibilities include supervising and training firm personnel in tax related issues and matters. He's also responsible for seeing that all income tax returns are properly prepared, for assisting clients in coordinating their personal and business tax considerations, and for developing short and long-term strategies and solutions for dealing with tax and financial matters and issues. Mr. Hudson also has extensive experience in estate and business succession planning that strongly complements the services that WGA provides its clients. His experience encompasses individuals, partnerships, corporations, non-profit entities, retirement plans, trusts, estates, etc.

Mr. Rains joined the firm on a full-time basis in December 1999. Mr. Rains's background in the field of engineering provides problem solving skills useful in finding solutions to firm and client technical issues. In addition to network administration and telephone company traffic analysis duties, his responsibilities include the enhancement and support of software packages designed specifically for telecommunications companies. Examples of such software include: Traffic Management System (TMS), Engineering Management System (EMS) and Revenue Management System (RMS).

Professional Background

Mr. Rea joined the firm in 1997. His responsibilities include the management and review of all financial audit engagements, ensuring our audits comply with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS). Mr. Rea also serves as project manager in jurisdictional cost separations studies and special projects such as forecasts, business valuations, benchmarking studies and other management studies.  Mr. Rea has directed and performed numerous financial audits, mostly involving rural telephone and cable companies. Working closely with key management personnel and other consultants, Mr. Rea has gained intricate knowledge of the operations of rural telephone companies required to perform those specialized audits. His expertise includes but is not limited to GAAP, GAAS, and GAGAS compliance, capital expenditure analyses, assessments of internal controls of accounting transaction cycles, and data analyses of outputs from computerized information systems.
